Comfortable. Precise. Designed to Last.

Dental implants are one of the most reliable ways to replace missing teeth, restoring not only your smile, but also your ability to eat comfortably and enjoy everyday life.

At Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, dental implant care is built around three priorities: safety, comfort, and long-term success. Every treatment plan is personalized, and every procedure is performed with surgical precision and patient peace of mind at the center.

Comfort & Anesthesia You Can Trust

Dental implant surgery does not have to be stressful.

Most implant procedures can be performed under IV sedation or general anesthesia, allowing you to rest comfortably throughout treatment. Many patients remember little to nothing about the procedure and are surprised by how smooth the experience feels.

All anesthesia is personally managed by Dr. Ashoka Subedar, who is dual board-certified as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. This advanced level of certification reflects extensive hospital-based training and ongoing expertise in both complex surgery and anesthesia.

Having one highly trained surgeon oversee both the surgery and the anesthesia allows for seamless coordination, enhanced safety, and a calm, controlled experience from start to finish. Patients are continuously monitored in our modern, hospital-style surgical suite.

What Are Dental Implants?

A natural tooth has two parts:

  • root, which anchors the tooth beneath the gum
  • crown, which is the visible tooth you chew with

When a tooth is lost, both parts are missing. A dental implant replaces the root with a small titanium post placed into the jawbone. Titanium has been safely used in medicine for decades and bonds naturally with bone.

Once healing is complete, a custom crown, bridge, or denture is placed on top of the implant, creating a replacement tooth that looks, feels, and functions like a natural one.

Advanced Implant Techniques

Using modern implant technology and advanced planning, Dr. Subedar is often able to place implant(s) at the same time as a tooth extraction, reducing overall treatment time and the number of surgical visits.

Every treatment plan is customized, only procedures that truly benefit the patient are recommended.

A Team-Based Approach

Dental implant treatment is a collaborative effort. Dr. Subedar, as your oral and maxillofacial surgeon, performs the implant surgery, extractions, and any necessary bone grafting. Your restorative dentist designs and places the final teeth and any temporary restorations. This team-based approach ensures precision, long-term success, and optimal aesthetics.

Dental Implants Cost & Insurance

Dental implants are an investment, not just in your smile, but in how you eat, speak, and enjoy everyday life.

Unlike temporary solutions, dental implants are designed to be a long-term replacement for missing teeth. They restore strength and stability, allowing you to bite into the foods you love, chew comfortably, and enjoy meals without worry. Many patients tell us that eating feels natural again, often for the first time in years.

While the upfront cost of dental implants may be higher than other options, implants are built to last. They help preserve jawbone health, protect facial structure, and eliminate many of the ongoing issues associated with dentures or bridges, such as slipping, discomfort, or frequent replacement.

Insurance:

Insurance coverage for dental implants varies by plan. Many dental insurance plans may cover some portion. Our team will review your insurance benefits and help submit claims on your behalf. While insurance coverage is not guaranteed, we are committed to helping you understand your benefits and maximize any coverage available.

A clear, personalized cost estimate will be provided during your consultation, so you can make an informed decision with confidence

Implants Q&A

What to Expect From the Implant Process?

Every patient is different, but most implant treatment follows these steps:

Consultation & Planning

We evaluate your medical history, bone structure, and goals using advanced imaging.

Implant Placement

The implant is placed into the jawbone during a precise surgical procedure. Healing typically takes several months as the bone integrates with the implant. Temporary teeth can often be worn during this time.

Final Restoration

Your restorative dentist places the final tooth or teeth, completing your smile.

Most implant treatments are completed within 6–8 months, with minimal disruption to daily life.

Is a Dental Implant Right for Me?

Most healthy adults are candidates for dental implants. During your consultation, we evaluate your medical history, bone structure, and goals to determine the best option for you.

Implant Options

Dental implants can be used to replace:

  • One missing tooth (single implant crown)
  • Multiple teeth (implant-supported bridge)
  • All teeth in the upper or lower jaw (implant-supported denture or fixed full-arch restoration)

Your anatomy, lifestyle, and long-term goals guide the recommendation.

Why Patients Choose Dental Implants

Patients often choose implants because they:

  • Feel stable and natural
  • Allow comfortable eating and chewing
  • Do not slip like dentures
  • Protect surrounding healthy teeth
  • Help preserve jawbone and facial structure

For many people, implants are not just about appearance; they’re about living normally again.
